Living in Ternate

Ternate (Ternàa in Varese dialect) is an Italian municipality of 2,413 inhabitants in the province of Varese in Lombardy. The territory has as its characterizing elements the fact of being in the heart of the Varese area lakes with rapid connections in all directions. The ancient nucleus of Ternate and the current center of the municipality, is located on the south-east side of the hill overlooking the lake.

The lake

The 12km Lake Comabbio cycle/pedestrian path can be reached on foot via the Berrini park. The route eventually connects with the Lake Varese track, for a total of 50 km of track.

The location

10 minutes from the A8 motorway (Vergiate-Sesto Calende exit) and 20 km from Milan Malpensa airport.

Railway station 700 meters away, with connections to Luino, Laveno, Gallarate and direct trains to Milan Porta Garibaldi (reachable in 50 minutes).
